How I Do Content

197. Messaging, Audience or Timing: The Real Reason Your Content Isn't Converting into Clients

Tahryn Bolt Season 5 Episode 197

You’re doing all the things.

  • You’re posting on Instagram.
  • You’re emailing your list.
  • Your offer is solid

You’re casting content spells left and right – but the likes are low, the DMs are dead, and the sales? Missing like Voldemort’s nose.

So, naturally, your brain spirals into the usual suspects: “Is it my messaging? Is it my audience? Is it the algorithm? Or does the universe just hate me?”

If you’re wondering why the heck your content isn’t converting, you’re not alone.

One of the most common questions I get asked is “How do I know if it’s my messaging, my audience, or the timing?” In fact one of the Wizards on the Waitlist for Micro Messaging asked me this exact question last week!

So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m going to share what my answer was to them so you can start doing a little investigating on your own as to why your content isn’t converting into clients.

And I’m going to be real with you for a moment – because it honestly depends! There’s no cookie-cutter universal answer. It does depend on your business, your niche, your audience size, and how long you’ve been showing up.

But what I can do is help you figure out how to get clear on what’s actually going on so you stop second-guessing everything and start focusing on the right thing.

So let’s break it down: messaging vs. audience vs. timing… and what to do about it.
