233. Marketing Strategies Aren't Dead: What Jenna Kutcher & Amy Porterfield's Exits Actually Mean for YOUR Business
So unless you’ve been living under a rock you would know that the start of 2026 has seen 2 of the biggest names in marketing make huge decisions about the future structure of their businesses.
Jenna Kutcher is pausing her chart-topping Goal Digger Podcast after over 900 episodes and 115 million downloads.
And Amy Porterfield is retiring her program Digital Course Academy (DCA) after nearly a decade.
When I started my business 7 years ago, these 2 women were considered the go-to people for online businesses. And fun fact, when I launched this podcast back in 2021 and I hit #1 on the marketing charts in Australia – guess who was #2 + #3? Yep, Jenna + Amy.
Fast forward to now and when they made their announcements it sent shockwaves through the online business community. Some people saw it coming so they weren’t surprised and then some promptly hit the panic button.
Does this mean podcasts are dead?
Should I not bother launching my course?
Is this the end of online business?
For the love of dogs some people need to calm the damn farm – because this doesn’t mean podcasts or online courses are dead. Not even close.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m talking about why you need to stop believing anyone who says a particular marketing strategy is dead. Plus what actually determines whether something will work for YOUR business, and when you should actually quit a strategy.
Let’s get into it.
